Sunday Kitchen #115 Kabocha Mochi

I thought of something else to make with pumpkin: kabocha mochi.
Kabocha means pumpkin and mochi usually means rice cake – but other things that have a similar consistency to mochi but aren’t actually made of rice can also be called mochi.

Anyway, all I did was boil some pumpkin and then mash it and add some potato starch.
Then I rolled it into some, kind of flat balls and I fried them.

They tasted pretty good. Next time I’m going to try frying them in soy sauce and wrapping them in nori - I think that’s how they’re usually made.
