STICK NEWS

Kia Ora. In Stick News today, people all over the world are rejoicing because The Daily English Show is back.
The show wasn’t uploaded for three days because of a problem with the modem. Japan’s Prime Minister is calling for an inquiry into the debacle. He’s demanding to know why the problem wasn’t fixed faster.

The Daily English Show is an internet show for people who are studying English. Since its launch in April, people have watched daily on their computers and video ipods.
Because of technical problems, sometimes the upload of the show is delayed.
Many fans suffer from withdrawal symptoms if they can’t see the show every day. The condition has even been given a name: DESDS.
The WIHO lists the symptoms as uncontrollable shaking, unexplained tears and, in the most extreme cases, sitting in the corner rocking backwards and forwards repeating catch phrases from the show.

This morning The Daily English Show’s ISP replaced the modem and shows from the last three days have now been uploaded.
According to The Daily English Show technicians the show is now able to be uploaded fifteen times faster than before.
And that was Stick News for Monday the 12th of June.
Kia Ora.
